We are proud to announce that the book Pagans and Christians in Late Antique Rome - Conflict, Competition, and Coexistence in the Fourth Century, edited partly by our faculty member Marianne Sághy, has been published at Cambridge University Press.

Recruitment and alumni meeting in Zagreb

Croatians constitute one of the biggest alumni groups of the Department of Medieval Studies. It was a special pleasure to organize a recruitment and alumni meeting during the course of our regular Academic Field Trip, in which past, present, and future students and faculty members participated. The meeting, followed by a reception, took place at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Zagreb University on May 21, 2016.

We are happy to announce that the volume Medieval East Central Europe in a Comparative Perspective, edited by our professors, Gerhard Jaritz and Katalin Szende, is now at at Routledge.

Medieval East Central Europe in a Comparative Perspective draws together the new perspectives concerning the relevance of East Central Europe for current historiography by placing the region in various comparative contexts. The chapters compare conditions within East Central Europe, as well as between East Central Europe, the rest of the continent, and beyond.
