Gábor Klaniczay has been Elected as Corresponding Fellow of the Medieval Academy of America

It is a great honor for us to announce that University Professor Gabor Klaniczay, funding faculty of the Department of Medieval Studies, has been elected a Corresponding Fellow of the Medieval Academy of America in recognition of his distinguished contributions to medieval studies.

Zara Pogossian Receives Prestigious ERC Consolidator Grant (2019)

Zara Pogossian, alumna of CEU’s Department of Medieval Studies (PhD 2011) has been awarded a prestigious 2019 European Research Center (ERC) Consolidator Grant. Dr Pogossian’s project seeks to establish a new framework for studying the Caucasus, Anatolia and northern Mesopotamia (CAM) between the 9th to 14th centuries.
