Cristian Daniel has a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies (CEU), a MA in Medieval Studies (CEU), a BA in History (UBB Cluj-Napoca) and a BA in Theology (UBB Cluj-Napoca). He has held various fellowships and bursaries at the New Europe College (Bucharest), Ca Foscari University (Venice, Marie Curie fellowship), Goethe University (Frankfurt am Main), the University of Crete (Rethymno). His research interests are in church history, the Orthodox church, heterodoxies and confessionalism. He also manages an educational project focused on the medieval history of the South Caucasus countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia) and coordinates the Center for Eastern Mediterranean Studies (CEMS) at CEU. At the moment he is enrolled in the Executive MBA program at the CEU Business School.
