Victor Alexandrov

Victor Alexandrov received his Ph.D. in Medieval Studies from CEU in 2004. In the Fall Semester of academic year 2005–2006 he was a Fellow at the Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection, Washington DC, an institute administered by the Trustees for Harvard University. Since 2008 he has been teaching Russian and English languages at the Institute of Foreign Languages of King Sigismund College, Budapest. Recurrently, he also teaches courses in History at the other departments of the College. In 2012 he published a book The Syntagma of Mathew Blastares: The Destiny of a Byzantine Legal Code Among the Orthodox Slavs and Romanians (Frankfurt am Main: Löwenklau Gesellschaft) which is a revised version of his Ph.D. Thesis written and defended at the Department. His research interests include the Medieval and Early Modern Balkans, ecclesiastical and canon law history of Eastern Europe.
