Rome Prize Winner Ryan Bailey

The American Academy in Rome announced the winners of the 2013/14 Rome Prize. The Academy, through its annual Rome Prize competition, has conferred 31 awards to artists and scholars representing a variety of disciplines. Included among this year’s Rome Prize Winners in Ancient Studies is Ryan Bailey, a Ph.D. candidate in the Faculty of Religious Studies at McGill University and a recent graduate of the Central European University. At CEU, Ryan defended an MA thesis proving Arethas of Caesarea's authorship of the scholia on Philostratus's Vita Apollonii in the tenth-century manuscript Laur. 69.33, in 2012. Congratulations!
