Damir Karbić

Damir Karbić graduated in history and archaeology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb (1988) and continued his education at the Department of Medieval Studies of the CEU (1993-2000), where he defended his PhD Thesis on the history of Croatian noble kindred of the Šubići in 2000. From 1988 he is employed in the Department of Historical Research of the Institute of Historical and Social Sciences of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. He is currently the head of that department with the academic rank of research coordinator.

Dóra Sallay

Dóra Sallay received her Ph.D. degree at CEU in 2008. At that time she was the curator of Italian paintings at the Christian Museum (Keresztény Múzeum) in Esztergom (1998–2008).

Előd Nemerkényi

Előd Nemerkényi is a graduate of Classics, Medieval Studies, and History. Specializing in Medieval Latin and the classical tradition in the Middle Ages, he received his PhD in Medieval Studies in 2004. The revised version of his doctoral dissertation on Latin Classics in Medieval Hungary: Eleventh Century was published jointly by the Department of Classical Philology at the University of Debrecen and the Department of Medieval Studies at Central European University.

Emese Sarkadi Nagy

Emese Sarkadi Nagy studied history and art history at the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj (Kolozsvár, Romania), then received an MA in Medieval Studies at CEU in 2000. She defended her PhD at CEU Medieval Studies in 2008. Her main field of interest is medieval art with special reference to altarpieces in Transylvania. Her PhD was published in 2012 titled Local Workshops – Foreign Connections. Late Medieval Altarpieces from Transylvania by the Thorbecke Verlag (Studia Jagellonica Lipsiensia Bd. 9., GWZO Leipzig).

Emilia Jamroziak

Emilia Jamroziak received her M.A. in Medieval Studies from CEU in 1997 and went on to gain PhD from the University of Leeds in 2001. Since then she held a lectureship in medieval history at the University of Southampton, a post of Research Officer at the Centre for Metropolitan History, University of London and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the School of History and Classics, University of Edinburgh. She joined the University of Leeds in September 2005 and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2008.
