The idea and purpose of the film-series is to show classic movies on various subjects primarily for both entertainment and discussing memorable films from new perspectives. The format thus includes a scholarly element: every screening starts with a 15-minute introduction by a faculty member (or members) who can contextualize the movie, and then comes the actual screening, and afterwards an open discussion takes place.
The first movie, the Brother Sun, Sister Moon by Franco Zefirelli, is a colorfully depicted life-story of St. Francis of Assisi.
