Péter Bara receives the Academic Youth Award of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (2020)

We are pleased to announce that Péter Bara, class of 2013 graduate of the MA program of CEU's Department of Medieval Studies, has received the Academic Youth Award of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences for his research in medieval Byzantine philology. Péter is a PhD candidate and has been a young research fellow at the Academy's Research Center for the Humanities Institute of History since 2018. This year, altogether twenty-two scholars working in the humanities and the natural sciences have been awarded by the Academy. The prestigious award was established in 1972 by the Chief Secretary of the Academy to honor, support and promote the research of outstanding scholars under the age of thirty-five.
