March 9, 2015

Gábor Klaniczay and József Laszlovszky (Medstud) won a DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdiens) and MÖB (Magyar Ösztöndíj Bizottság – Hungarian Scholarship Board) funded academic cooperation grant of 13000 Euros and 783000 HUF for student and faculty mobility with the Research Center on Comparative History of Religious Orders, at the Technical University of Dresden (Forschungsstelle für Vergleichende Ordensgeschichte – FOVOG). This will allow a two week scholarship in Dresden for 12 PhD students of Medstud (while receiving an equal sized group from Dresden), and the organization of two workshops at CEU and two in Dresden in 2015 and 2016, with the participation of 15 faculty members from the two partners and the PhD students. Problems of communication, transfer of ideas and materials, hierarchical structures of religious orders and monastic networks will be researched and discussed in the framework of the four workshops.
