Luka Špoljarić Wins Post-doctoral Fellowship at Villa I Tatti Florence

Luka Špoljarić (MA ’08, PhD ’13) has been awarded a prestigious one-year postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University’s Center for Italian Renaissance Studies, Villa I Tatti in Florence for the academic year from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. Luka’s project will build on his dissertation on Nicholas bishop of Modruš which he defended at the Department of Medieval Studies in 2013; at I Tatti he will be focusing on the final chapter of Nicholas’s career and seek to shed light on the role that he and other curial prelates played in the restoration of the papacy’s prestige and its rule over the Papal States. Congratulations to Luka!
