Dr. Stefan Eick, on behalf of the Solivagus Publishing House (Kiel, Germany) (www.solivagus-verlag.de), an enterprise specializing in publications on the Middle Ages has approached the CEU Department of Medieval Studies with an offer for cooperation. Dr. Eick paid a visit to the CEU on 5 June 2013 when he generously offered various ways of supporting the activity of the Department of Medieval Studies.
The Solivagus Publishing House will make a regular donation for the Zvetlana-Mihaela Tănasă Fund of the Department of Medieval Studies. The donation can be used for new acquisitions for the CEU-ELTE Medieval Library and also to support the research of the students of the Department. The CEU-ELTE Medieval Library will insert a note in publications acquired with the support of the Solivagus Publishing House indicating the name and logo of the donator.
In addition to the monetary support, the Solivagus Publishing House will donate one copy of each of its publications to the CEU-ELTE Medieval Library.
The Solivagus Publishing House is ready to consider for publication the doctoral dissertations defended at the Department of Medieval Studies and other kinds of publications connected to departmental activities. It agrees to publish the selected dissertations without requiring any financial subvention from the author. The Department of Medieval Studies will inform its doctoral students about the publishing opportunities at the Solivagus Publishing House.
