Hungarian Partnerships

For CEU, partnerships with other universities are an essential part of our open society mission. CEU partners with institutions and universities across the globe, offering opportunities for our students, faculty and researchers to benefit from and contribute to the development of new knowledge in a wide variety of fields. Partnerships with Hungarian institutions are of particular importance to CEU, which has called Budapest home for more than two decades. Below please find more information on our department's partnerships with Hungarian institutions.

Joint projects

  • Kulturális Örökség Menedzserek Egyesülete / Association of Cultural Managers + KON-TIKI Büro für Bildungs- und Erlebnisplanung - joint project (“Entwicklung eines praxisorientierten Umweltkommunikationsmoduls zur Vermittlung nachhaltiger Landnutzungformen in Ungarn am Beispiel der Pilis-Mountain Region” supported by DBU)
  • Magyar Régész Szövetség / Hungarian Association fo Archaeologists (joint event on the Cultural Heritage Days)
  • Archaeolingua Kiadó és Alapítvány / Archaeolingua Publishing House (joint project and event series: “Historical Landscapes – Aquatic Habitats: Archaeology, Environmental History, Landscape Protection” funded by NKA)
  • European Cultural Foundation (joint event, also with CEU CAC: lecture-recital by Lorenzo Coppola)
  • Metropolitan Research Institute (joint application for Horizon2020 with the project "Open Heritage. Organizing, Promoting and Enabling Heritage Re-use through Inclusion, Technology, Access, Governance and Empowerment")

  • Budapest Főváros Levéltára / Budapest City Archives - Framework Agreement on Academic Cooperation - educational activities, organizing joint professional events, creating common publications and common grant applications as well as projects, based on specific project plans 
  • Insula Pilup Kft /Ltd - Cooperation Agreement - common activities connected to the preservation, presentation, and management of the complex heritage site at Pomáz-Nagykovácsi-puszta
  • Iparművészeti Múzeum / Museum of Applied Arts - Cooperation Agreement – organizing educational programs for the students of CHSP
