CEU offers a 2 year MA degree program in Cultural Heritage Studies, Policy and Management. As an answer for an apparent interest in the field, however, Cultural Heritage Studies and Policy is open as a specialization also for students of the 1 year and 2 year MA programs in Medieval Studies.

Students enrolled into the 1Year MA program in Medieval Studies and the 2Year MA in Comparative History: Late Antique, Medieval and Renaissance Studies can specialize in cultural heritage studies under the label of “Specialization” or “Research Focus” respectively. This difference is based on the way the particular program was accredited, and it is manifest in the form in which the studies into this direction are acknowledged. In one case it is a certificate, in the other case it is indicated in the transcript of the student. This is a technical difference, but the content and the requirements are the same in both cases. At the same time, we are working on the official registration of this specialization for both programs in the same way, so it is possible that we will be able to issue the same type of document for both groups. However, it depends on the different accreditation authorities.
