Péter Bokody

Péter Bokody is assistant professor of Art History at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (Budapest) and recurrent visiting professor at McDaniel College (Budapest). He completed his dissertation at CEU in 2010 on the problem of embedded representations in the age of Giotto (Pictorial and Iconographic Reflexivity: Images-within-Images in Italian Painting). He is preparing a monograph on the subject. Complementing his focus on the original historical context of visual representations, Peter is also interested in the contemporary reuses of old masters and the ethical implications of art and aesthetics.
