Roman Shlyakhtin (MA ’07, doctoral candidate) was awarded a prestigious Junior Fellowship in Byzantine Studies at the Dumbarton Oaks Research Library & Collection for the coming academic year, 2015/16.

It is our  pleasure to inform you that Maria Vargha (The Archaeology of Christianisation of the Rural Countryside of Medieval Hungary with the Context of East Central Europe (11th-13th centuries), supervisor: Jozsef Laszlovszky) has been awarded the Academic Achievement Award for First-Year Doctoral Students for the 2013/2014 academic year. 

Zsuzsa Peto has been awarded with the junior prize of the András Kubinyi Foundation

Zsuzsa Petö, doctoral student of the Medieval Studies Department has been awarded with the junior prize of the András Kubinyi Foundation for the Study of the Middle Ages. She received this award for her MA thesis “The Medieval Landscape of the Pauline Monasteries in the Pilis Forest” that had been defended at CEU last year.

The senior András Kubinyi Prize has been received by historian Elek Szaszkó, who is a teacher at Karinthy Frigyes Secondary Grammar School at Budapest.
